           (Unity/Topic Sentence) In, “Your Career and the Importance of Well-Written Communication,” Minh Le, a Cal Poly Pomona engineering alumnus, discovered his lack of well-written communication was a detriment to his career.  (Adequate Development/Body) While his peers excelled in their respected professions, Minh Le was passed upon numerous promotion opportunities due to his inability to communicate effectively using English prose. To summarize his frustration, Minh Le admits, “I had always thought well-written communication was not important in technical fields. I was wrong.” Upon acknowledging this setback, Minh Le returned to school, seeking an education in well-written communication in hopes to finally receive a promotion. (Coherence/Conclusion) All in all, The skillful use of English prose, as Minh Le discovered, plays an important role in one's career and advancement in their professional fields.
