Basketball and Band.

Thank you my beautiful Rainbow Goddess feline. Being characterized as anxious is no surprise, as it was a result of my very busy schedule. A lot was expected of me my senior year. It was my last chance as captain to take my basketball team to CIF and last year to be part of the school rock band. Although time-consuming and incredibly stressful, these activities taught me to be caring, confident, and courageous. Because my cat never saw me outside of the home, she never got to witness the reasons why I needed her cuddles so often. Balancing band rehearsals, gigs, basketball practices, and games was not an easy feat, but it made me who I am. Having my team compete in CIF and Writing/Performing with my band took a lot of creativity. Every day I was challenged on stage or on the court and I attribute my overall personality to these obstacles. With the lessons I learned from basketball and band, I am able to counter my anxiety creatively and learn to love the little things in life.
